Ab dem 6. Januar 2010 sind smart- und Design-Fans weltweit eingeladen, auf der Website www.styleyoursmart.com den smart fortwo zu gestalten - gesucht wird das coolste smart-Design.

Stets in Bewegung und dabei auf der Suche nach Verankerung. Der Lösung dieses scheinbaren Konflikts, widmet sich der Hamburger Künstler Florian Borkenhagen mit der Ausstellung 'TransSakrales' bis zum 26. Februar 2010 bei gabrielle ammann // gallery auf höchst originelle Weise. Er kombiniert in seinen Objekten tradierte sakrale Elemente mit Mobilität implizierenden Maßnahmen und erschafft mit einfachen Materialien und Mitteln neue mobile Arbeitsgeräte und religiöse Pretiosen.

Gabriel Grippo a.k.a. GGrippo is an Argentine-born artist, designer and cultural activist. Educated in the fine arts and architecture in Argentina and trained in the design industry in the US, he works in clothing, furniture and interior design, photography and installation art. He lives and works in Brooklyn/NY where he runs nydesignroom, a design retail and gallery space.

Following the tremendous success of their inaugural year in 2008, Brit Insurance Design Awards and supporting Brit Insurance Designs of the Year exhibition return for their second year, making them an annual fixture on the design industry calendar. Brit Insurance Design Awards is the Design Museum's annual exploration of the of the most innovative, interesting and forward looking designs produced over the last twelve months from around the world and celebrated in seven categories: Architecture, Transport, Graphics, Interactive, Product, Furniture and Fashion. The shortlist is on show at the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year Exhibition from 12 February until 14 June at the Design Museum in London.
