What happens if you combine fashion, music, art, and social media with the awareness that there are countries and villages across the globe in need of a little help, and a whole lot of hope? For example Blend the World, a campaign with a video produced by the Danish fashion label Blend and a community platform.
The Campaign is supported through independent artists around the globe interpreting the Blend the World message in their own unique styles. The video (watch the video on the right) documents the artists’ work in ‘hot spots’ across the world such as Baghdad, Teheran, Kabul or Gaza, to underscore both the diversity of the artists and their countries, and highlight the common bond between our cultures.
From Iraq to Iran, from Afghanistan to Myanmar, the Blend the World Community shall come together to raise awareness of global hotspots, and to spread a message throughout these communities of tolerance, love, and unrelenting optimism. It is a feet-on-the-street movement that is grounded in the belief that one (optimistic! inspiring! fearless!) individual can, and does, make a world of difference.
